Avoid eating heavy meals and try to space out your meals into about five to six smaller meals. Doing this will hasten your metabolism which results into more fat burned by your system.

2. Exercise in the morning before eating breakfast. Any workout will do as long as you go for a light sweat. A 20-minute jog around the park, riding a stationary bike, or doing the treadmill will be beneficial for you. The important thing is to do this before breakfast as your body will burn the most fat without with the absence of food.

3. Eat a light dinner. One of the best tip on how to tone stomach muscles is to avoid eating a heavy dinner. The reason being is that your body will have less time to burn your food and once you sleep, your metabolism slows down which results into fat. Try to eat your bigger meals during the day but always avoid eating a heavy dinner.

4. Fresh fruit instead of wheat. In the morning, try to eat fruits instead of your normal bagel or cereal. These will energize you and also increase your metabolism, again burning more fat in the process. They are also filling and just an apple or two will usually satisfy you.

5. Exercise regularly. You have to remember that you must do this consistently or your actions will most likely be futile. Maintain self-discipline and try to do 15-minute workouts daily for starters. You can then increase to 20 and 30 minute workouts until you feel you are comfortable.
